A cousin of mine lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, and her son and mine got along famously the last time we had a family reunion. For almost two years, Liam has asked when we would visit: we chose Easter weekend.
I’ve never had such a comedy of errors while travelling, and for someone who has done a significant amount of business and personal travel, that’s saying something. Continue reading
The only thing I’m going to say about Tony is I haven’t heard from him, and it’s okay.
Leo has been a consistent presence since I broke my leg mid-December. He is mercifully drama-free. My only emotional hiccup so far was feeling somewhat bereft of attention last month, which led to nothing more than some flirty texts and a single romp in my bed with Clark.
No, Leo and I haven’t had an exclusivity discussion. I’ve been putting it off, and he seems perfectly content. Continue reading
I was away for work for one night. A town I couldn’t get to on a direct flight, so I suffered annoying airport layovers and airplanes so tiny the smallest of carry on bags won’t fit.
Two days of travel for a few hour event; just for me to shake hands and congratulate team members and say thank you. Drink some wine and eat appetizers. I didn’t have Liam and was happy to do it. It’s a seaside town which I love.
I arrived without incident.
As I pulled the rental car into the valet parking for the hotel, I noticed a very cute, very young valet. He came over to retrieve my cars keys, and recited his script of “where are you joining us from today?” Continue reading
I am so f*cking sick of being sick.
I was finally starting to feel a bit better last week…the coughing and effects of the pneumonia had subsided, although they were lingering. I no longer had to take liquid codeine to stop coughing so I could sleep at night.
This was progress.
Christmas Eve I did not have my son. I wouldn’t have him until noon on Christmas Day which was the first time EVER he wasn’t with me. It was painful but I managed, with the help of friends and family.
When my parents split, a friend and colleague of my Mother’s invited us to spend Thanksgiving with them. We also spent Christmas with them, and it became a long-standing tradition. The family had two children; a boy a few years older (actually he’s #16 on my list of men I’ve slept with) and a girl my age (Scarlett). We became very close friends. Continue reading
A very close girlfriend and I will be travelling to New York City for New Year’s Eve. Two nights and days of fun. I can’t wait. She is also divorced and single.
For the last few weeks, I have been on the fence about whether to go. Last night I looked at the tattoo which reminds me to not squander the decision to leave my marriage, and made up my mind.
My Mom told me today that she was in Times Square to watch the ball drop in 1965. She spent time touring the world in the mid 60s…including Germany, Moscow, Russia (where she met my father), Japan, Vietnam, and Nepal. Oh, and Hawaii and New York City as well.
I know there are some of you who live in the city that never sleeps… we may pass each other in Times Square.
