Meet Mister Fox

Mr. Fox reached out to me on Plenty of Fish. He made a clever reference to my job in relation to his, and it was easy for me to respond.

His profile showed a very handsome, very tall (6’4″) 49 year old long-divorced professional. He has a teenage child, a love of craft beer, and enjoys exploring restaurants. In a notable departure from my latest boyfriends, he has a full head of hair.

You know the next part: witty and interesting messaging back and forth on the dating site, he asked to move to text, and it continued at a reasonable pace and was red flag free (Madeline, it is possible). I was quite excited about meeting this one. Continue reading

A fantastic two-date day | Mr. Fox & #14

Mr Fox and I had a great first coffee date and we both wanted more. Our text conversation continued and the next thing I knew he was booking lunch for the two of us the following day. He picked a restaurant near my office and made the reservation and just made it happen.

I liked that.

I wore a short black puffy skirt and a light blue leather jacket, with three inch heels. Given he’s 6’4″ I can wear those heels and still look up to him. It’s nice, actually. There are days when I feel great and know I can strut my stuff and that day was one of those days.

We met at a sky high restaurant in a fancy hotel. Ever the gentleman, he held doors open, waited until I was seated, and made sure I was comfortable. I had meetings in the afternoon otherwise would have loved a glass of wine.  Continue reading

A third date with Mr. Fox in three days.

I am so fucking behind in writing. My third date with Mr Fox was 12 days ago. I’m going to give some short versions of my stories so that I can get back to doing what I prefer – writing in real time.

Here goes:

We met again for our third date over lunch near my house didn’t have sex and he took forever to really touch me but he used ice on my nipples finger fucked me to orgasm and then had to leave for a meeting. The End.

What, not enough? Continue reading

Is it easing into a new relationship or not being that into someone?

Mr Fox and I had three dates in three days. We had not had sex although he’d given me an orgasm.

I completely forgot something important in my last post. When I asked him to come upstairs to my bedroom, I paused and realized I might have to explain my bruises. So I pulled away from our kissing, looked him in the eyes and said:

“If you come upstairs with me, you may see my ass. Which means I need to tell you about something you are going to see. I am very bruised.

I’ve been exploring my sexuality and one thing I was curious about was my submission, in particular being “beaten” as it’s unfortunately called. So this past Friday night I met a Dom at this sex club and he had me on a St. Andrew’s Cross – do you know what that is? – and I was naked in front of an audience and he beat me. And I liked it.”

I paused and looked at him, questioning. He paused then said: “that is so fucking hot.” Continue reading

Mr. Fox came to my party & I hid my dating profiles

I have a party three times a year. The summer and winter ones are wine tastings, and the fall one was a “sausage and nuts” party (get it?!)

My party has been a key milestone in a few of the relationships I’ve had in the past two years. I broke up with Naked Ironing Man after he bailed in January 2014. Johnny Id was at my August 2014 party (he wrote a few posts about the party, which were fun for me to read). Tony came to the February 2015 party and it made me so very happy he’d put in the effort.

My last party was last week. I impulsively invited Fox. Given his schedule constraints I knew if he didn’t come, I wouldn’t see him for far too long a time (meaning, over a week). I also figured why the heck not; it was a good way to see how he interacted with my friends and how he was in social situations. Continue reading

My fifth date with the Fox.

Fox and I had our fifth date a week after my party (not counting it as a date); I had invited him to join me at a sporting event.

Liam was still with me, as Will had taken a 10 day trip with Colleen and her children (it’s a whole other post trying to understand why he didn’t take Liam). He was staying with my Mom overnight so I could go to the game.

Fox met me at our arranged pick up spot, needing some guidance from me on where exactly to be, as he’s not familiar with our city core. It was ever so slightly annoying that the man with built-in GPS who works a five-minute drive from there couldn’t figure it out. Any whiff of helplessness is a massive turn off for me – in men and women. Continue reading

I think I know how guys feel when a woman wants to pin them down.

Fox and I had our nice overnight sporting event date. That morning we slept in, fooled around, I made us lattes and we drank them in bed. Then he had to leave since Liam was being dropped off by my Mom fairly early.

A few hours after he left, we had the following text exchange: Continue reading

I decided to tell Fox (most of) the truth and lived to tell about it.

My timeline bounced around a little between Fox and Tony so here’s the order of operations, for the context of this post:

  1. I had an overnight with Tony after not seeing him for three weeks. I left Tony’s house to go to my parents, and then I…
  2. …had my fifth date with Fox at a sporting event.
  3. After that meeting, Fox got sensitive about asking for feedback and my feelings.
  4. We decided to talk about it at our next date the following Tuesday. This post is about that date.

Sorting out Fox & Tony | Pretty sure this is going to be a “part one”

I’ve been staring at this screen for a while, unsure what to say. The inability to put words on the page is exacerbated by being preoccupied by texting with Fox and listening to the humorous dialogue of my family playing Monopoly 10 feet away: “Honey, look! I get $25 for my services.” My Mom and I share a feisty sense of humour.

Today I couldn’t see the ocean due to the thick fog that lingered for most of the day. I know the water is there, but I can’t see it. It’s a bit like trying to see my path forward. I know it’s there somewhere, but it’s not clear to me.

There was also a cow that wandered out of her property and ended up on ours. The bull stayed put. I’m sure there’s a correlation there as well, but it’s elusive. Continue reading
