Top 100 Sex Blogs – Redux!!

You may remember my post a while back asking you to nominate your favorite sex blogs for Rori’s annual Top 100 Sex Bloggers list. Well, unfortunately she couldn’t finish the awards, but sex-blogging-superstar Molly has taken up the cause.

There are so many amazing blogs out there and Molly has been incredible to take over this list, so please read her post here and nominate your faves!!

Thank you, Molly.

If you don’t follow Molly Moore, you should. She’s a wonderful community builder and blogger who publishes daily and runs a number of memes and projects. And her photos are lovely.

For the last few years, she’s published an annual Top 20 sex bloggers list. It’s had what I consider to be true superstars of sex blogging and I’ve admired them all.

So I was surprised to find myself on the 2015 list two nights ago.

Completely. Fucking. Surprised. Continue reading

Um…1,000? Really? Thank you!

Wow. As of today I have 1,001 followers:

I find this rather astonishing.

Sisterhood of the World Award

A big thank you to Serins for nominating me for this award. I love being part of a Sisterhood!!

My last award was dedicated to the men in my blog life because I knew this one was for the ladies.

Serins questions for me are:

1. What is your favorite position?

Anything that involves me, naked, and a willing and able lover 😀 Continue reading

The best sex yet was with my kid downstairs.

Last week from Tuesday through Saturday I was away on a trip for work. It was an annual awards event for a few divisions in my company. It was great fun but exhausting.

I hadn’t seen Tony in almost two weeks (not since the debacle with my son in the middle of the night). I was three time zones away from home and up late partying most nights. My Mom had been staying overnight at my place while I was away. On Saturday, my plane was delayed and I didn’t get home until 9:45pm. I missed putting my son to bed, and I was disappointed about that.

My Mom and I chatted for a few minutes and she asked me if I was having company – and I said yes, Tony was coming over shortly. Continue reading

Very Inspiring Blogger Award | The answer to one question

This is not the actual thank you for the award I just received. But I saw something today I wanted to share, and it answers one of the award questions: whether I have a cause.

The answer is YES. I don’t talk about my cause on this blog, or my Mother’s background in social services, or how I volunteered for “Meals on Wheels” as a child, even on Christmas Day, or any of the work I’ve done on Boards for social service organizations.

I don’t write about it because it’s never come up, as far as I can remember. I don’t think anyone reads this blog to hear me pontificate on my political or social views. Sex sells, baby. But hey, if I’m wrong, by all means let me know.

The primary focus of my charitable financial giving has been to organizations that provide direct assistance to those who cannot support or defend themselves. That includes animals, but primarily people – specifically those who live in poverty, and those who are abused. I also donate money to Cancer research due to family history.

Giving money is one thing. Giving time is another. Since I was my son’s age, I have given my time to these organizations. Until recently, I have also put my business knowledge and fundraising skills to use as a Board member. I had to give it up when I took the job in another country, since I couldn’t commit the time. Once my ex returns, I will get back on another board.

I saw this video today and thought I should share it. You may want a kleenex nearby. Just saying.

Breaking a lifelong habit

There is something to be said for recognizing one’s patterns. With the reactions I’ve had to Tony and all of his unknowns, I find myself thinking back to one of the true loves in my life.

One of the men on my list, we first dated for six months when we were just 12. Yes, you read that right – six months. We remained close friends and got back together when we were 16. But it was never meant to be. We still keep in touch and he gave me great advice when I became single again – having been the first of my friends to get divorced.

One thing he used to tell me when we dated all those years ago is that I pushed too much – for knowledge, certainty, more time, more dedication. It drove him crazy and although he loved me, my pushing had the opposite effect. He pulled back. For those of you who are curious about such things, I am a Virgo and he is a Capricorn. Does this mean I'm a twice-as-Bad Girl Blogger?

Yes, I’m posting this again. I originally put this up the day I did an incredibly stupid thing and had to temporarily make my blog private, so I’m afraid these awesome bloggers didn’t get as much attention as they deserve!!

I’m on a bit of time lag on accepting this award, but thank you to the amazingly hilarious, hopefully-future-fondler-of-my-lady-bits-at-Burning-Man, and blogging friend, Rambling Goat.

She nominated me for the Bad Girl Blogger award a month ago. She said super duper nice things:

Ann St Vincent: she’s probably sick of getting these, she’s a popular gal! But when you get to know her you’ll understand why – she’s supportive, gives us a good shake when we need a reality check and the rest of the time she’s sharing her shameless interactions for our entertainment. She’s given me the idea to try dp!

(I particularly liked the thought of being a purveyor of DP to the world. My Momma would be so proud of me!)

As many of us know, there is a great community here of sexy bloggers, and we sometimes see lots of familiar “faces” around. I’ve tried to find some bloggers who you may not be aware of (but if you do, terrific!!). I’ve been following them all for a while and encourage you to check them out when you can!

I heart these bloggers:

Maurnas of Cursitivity | She’s a bad girl blogger even though she hasn’t written about all her great stories. One of them is here on my blog. Her amazing embroidery also graces the wall of my home (see above) and she’s one of the few women who I’ve met who I would totally kiss. And that’s saying something.

Albany Eden of Dating Catastrophes of Albany Eden | She’s a young woman with some pretty funny dating stories. Her about page says “I start to wonder if the cosmos is keeping me single for other people’s amusement. This is looking to be more and more the case so hopefully my misadventures can help women avoid creeps and help men avoid being creepy.” I know how she feels!

Hollie of My Blog is My Boyfriend | From the moment I read her tagline (“Confessions of a rambling wino”) I knew we’d be friends. Johnny Id introduced me to her blog and I’m so glad he did. Search “doorknob” and you’ll get a taste of her hilarious stories. My favorite posts of hers, however, can be found using her “history” tag.

Ladies, here are the rules:

RULES: If you are a recipient, please choose 3-5 female bloggers who write about sex (or post sexy pics of them selves, or both) that you admire and award them by passing on the award photo above and the rules.  Also, give a brief explanations of why you love those bloggers so much.  Be sure to notify your favorite bloggers that they got the award!

Please help make me famous.

I’m totally kidding, of course. Fame is not what I’m going for and the thought kinda scares me. But anyone who knows me knows I love competition and love to win. So much so that it’s been a struggle to try something I don’t think I’ll be good at.

There’s a website called… it’s affiliated with Singles Warehouse which has a bunch of bloggers who write about relationships and dating. I wrote a guest post for them which turned out to be totally unpopular and drove no traffic to my blog whatsoever!

Anyway, they do an annual blog awards thingy and I’ve been nominated in the following categories. I’d love it if you voted for me!!

Best Dating Blog

Best Adult Dating Blog

Best NEW Dating Blog

So please click the links and vote! (The list of nominees is not in alphabetical order, so you may want to Ctrl-F or search to find me).

Voting continues for a month or so, so I will probably bug you about this more than once 🙂

I now have a Lovely Blog Award

A big “thank you” to Michelle of Unblunder for nominating me for this award (which I would have totally missed had I not happened upon her post! Three cheers for my procrastination!).

There are a few guidelines for accepting this award:

1. Thank the person who nominated you for the award.

2. Display the One Lovely Blog Award on your blog.

3. Share 7 things about yourself.

4. Nominate 15 bloggers you admire and let them know by commenting on their blog.

Seven things about me

  1. I love being by the water. Ocean preferably, but even a small pond will do. It is incredibly relaxing and someday I will have a house on an ocean.
  2. I am capable of g-spot, clitoral, and vaginal orgasms, and never knew until recently that it was unusual. Continue reading
