Writing your way to happiness | NY Times.com

I have always said that this blog has been incredibly therapeutic to me. Turns out, I am on to something (as are you!): Writing Your Way to Happiness.

It’s a scientific fact.

  1. I don’t think I could grow and move forward without my blog and the comments of everyone. I think it takes a village for the re-birth of a newly divorced woman to re-discover her sexuality. Thank you for being a part of my village!!

    • I’m glad you feel the same way. It’s been so important to me to process everything that has happened to me. It’s also why I’m trying to finish my pre-divorce story as well.

  2. Agree 100%!!! I have often said it is my cheap for of therapy and it is why I started my blog to begin with. To have a place to spew, release, express, love, hate, change, accept all that ‘Tis Personal. to me. 😉

    • For me it’s the writing process for sure and also commenters (like you) who have been supportive but also thought provoking in the challenges to my occasional attempt at BS’ing myself 🙂

      • Yes, receiving feedback from others was most definitely an added bonus that I had never expected when I started blogging. It is amazing how one question, suggestion, thought, etc… can help answer so many questions or open new doors of enlightenment.

  3. Thank you SO much for sharing!
I’ve been a bit down in the dumps and just this weekend, I thought, “Why not write about something happy? Won’t writing happy make me feel happy?”
Sure enough, it worked and now I know why 🙂

  4. I have had a difficult month and just started blogging for the first time this week…And last night, after weeks and weeks of taking Ambien every night, I was able sleep without it…it wasn’t much sleep, but I’ll take it. I have just found your blog and loving it…

    • Welcome to blogging! I guess I’m not new anymore (it’s been over a year) but I’ve loved it.

Sorry to hear you have had a rough month but great that you are starting to sleep. I know how difficult it can be when you are sleep deprived.

And so glad to hear you are loving my blog. Thank you so very much. Look forward to seeing you around 🙂
